Nicaragua Part 4 - San Juan del Sur

After 5 glorious, sweltering days in Granada, we took a taxi south to the beach town San Juan del Sur, where we rented a pretty little house way up in the hills. It required a manual 4 wheel drive truck to get there.

San Juan del Sur students practicing for a parade.

Casa Suerte. Lucky No. 7.

Cozy, modern, beautiful, rustic, open air.

The bathrooms were fun. Got to look right out into the rain forest while showering.
Mosquito nets. Kind of irritating, but good for the conscience.

Our pool on the hillside. The water was a little cool from the rain and we didn't use it much.

Steps to our house.

These bastards built webs in the walkways all the time...

A sunset seen from our balcony.

The nearest beach. Deserted. With the perfect sand.

Same beach, opposite direction. Costa Rica is visible on the horizon.

Selfie. Fun fact - made that suit.

Another deserted beach a little further north.

Fun pattern in the sand made by the tide pulling sand against the rocks.

The surf beach to the south of the first beach. There was a little cafe and a bunch of mediocre surfers.
